Missing Paige Chivers Turns 18

Paige Chivers, a teenage girl who went missing over 2 years ago, is said to have inherited a great amount of money, according to police. The girl disappeared from her home in Blackpool in August 2007, and there haven’t been any confirmed reports on if she is alive or not. When she turned 18, Chivers was set to inherit a significant amount of money from her mother, who passed in February 2007 of cancer.

Nearly 3,000 people have been questioned during the investigation of the girl’s disappearance. They have also taken over 1,200 statements, while 4 people have been arrested on suspicion of killing her, but they were all released without charge.

Mark Rothwell, the chief inspector of Lancashire Constabulary’s major investigation team, said that turning 18 was a significant milestone in the girl’s life. The fact that Paige is set to be given her inheritance is a significant incentive for her to contact someone if she can, he continued, adding that if she doesn’t make contact, it will only increase fears that she has been harmed.

There is still a £12,000 reward on offer to anyone that can give information about Paige’s whereabouts. Rothwell said that they still want people to give them information, and he reassured the public that they have many inquiry lines ongoing to find out what happened. They are convinced that people in Blackpool hold the clues to finding the teen.

Paige is of slim build and has light brown hair cut at about shoulder length. She also has a “Playgirl” tattoo on the back of her neck and a lower back tribal tattoo. Anyone with information can contact the Blackpool police (08451 253545) or the Missing People charity (0208 392 4510).
